Ohio State, Kansas, Pitt, Duke Take Top Seeds In 2011 Tourney

Ohio State is the No. 1 overall seed in the 2011 NCAA Tournament and will be placed in the East Region.

Joining the Buckeyes No. 1 seeds is Kansas in the Midwest, Pittsburgh in the Southeast and Duke in the West.

Pitt is the only No. 1 seed to not win their conference tournament, losing to eventual champion Connecticut in the quarterfinals.

San Diego State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Florida are the No. 2 seeds, while Syracuse, Purdue, Connecticut and BYU are the No. 3 seeds. Kentucky, Louisville, Texas and Wisconsin are the No. 4 seeds.

Kansas and Duke were also No. 1 seeds in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, while Ohio State was a No. 2 and Pitt was a No. 3.

The Final Four will be held in Houston on April 2nd and 4th.

Arkansas Little-Rock Wins 2011 Sun Belt Tournament

Arkansas Little-Rock defeated North Texas by a 64-63 final to win the 2011 Sun Belt Tournament.

Senior Solomon Bozeman of Arkansas Little-Rock was named Tournament MVP.

Joining Bozeman on the All-Tournament Team were  teammate Alex Garcia-Mendoza, Sergio Kerusch (Western Kentucky), along with Tristan Thompson, George Odufuwa and Josh White (North Texas)

Sun Belt Announces 2011 Awards, Western Kentucky Sends Two To First Team

Western Kentucky's Sergio Kerusch and Steffphon Pettigrew were named to the All-Sun Belt First Team, along with Raymond Taylor of Florida Atlantic and Tristan Thompson of North Texas.

Named to the Second Team were Martavius Adams (Arkansas State), Greg Gantt (Florida Atlantic), Chase Hallam (Denver), J.J. Thomas (Louisiana-Lafayette) and James Washington (Middle Tennessee State).

Brett Royster of Florida Atlantic was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year and Augustine Rubit of South Alabama was named Freshman of the Year.
